Been seeing this superb movie Hancock, the Unheroic-Superhero movie starred by Will Smith, it story is super different than mainstream superhero movie , this comedy-drama movie sets the bar of a whole new kind of superhero movie.
It’s main character Hancock, is no alien, no robot or man with gadget, no experimental object nor a radiated man, he were merely an Immortal God from some “Pagan” Culture way-way back few thousand years ago who still live way-way after his time…, if I may compare it, he’s like Thor (The son of Odin, most powerful of the Norse Gods) but instead carying a hammer this Hancock guy carries a bottle…, yup, he is a homeless drunkard with no memory and no mission to save the world kind of stuff, but that is what makes it worth to watch and makes it different than other superhero movie.
I may say that this movie is not a superhero movie at all cause it’s story tells more about life than man of steel heroic act kind of stuff, it had a lot of positif message there, and love is the grand theme of this movie, at the end I may say that this is a love story movie not a superhero movie, it’s message is “love is not supposed to have each other” alah “Cinta bukan berarti harus memiliki”.
